Pavilion of Acute Medicine, Milosrdných bratří Hospital, Brno

The new pavilion of acute medicine is situated between the historical buildings of the Milosrdných bratří Hospital and the monastery. The pavilion houses operating theatres, sterilization rooms, laboratories, intensive care units, X-ray rooms and emergency clinics. Apart from its medical importance, it represents an important communication node, which allows for the interconnection of existing departments. The main entrance to the hospital, an entrance hall with a staircase, lifts and a new system for the arrival of ambulances and emergency reception are newly designed.
