The Dusík Theatre in Čáslav is one of the oldest stone theatres in Bohemia. Since then, the theatre has undergone a number of building modifications and reconstructions, the most important of which was the reconstruction of the building after a fire in 1923. No major modifications have been carried out since then. The reconstruction and extension allowed the existing foyer to be enlarged to include a new two-storey space facing the preserved city walls.
The most important room is the newly constructed small stage on the second floor of the extension, which created a multi-purpose hall with a capacity of 165 seats and allows for a variety of uses from theatrical experiments to social gatherings for the town.
